This week we will be ordering two or three items by capacity. We will be introducing what capacity is and how we measure it.

 

Learning Intention:

• To compare two items by capacity.

Key words:

Empty, full, half, capacity

 

Monday:

This week we are learning all about capacity. Using PowerPoint introduce what capacity is and different measurements of capacity, full, half full and empty.

 

Challenge: Draw a picture of a glass, bottle, bucket etc that is full and one that is empty.

 

Tuesday:

More or less. Using PowerPoint chn to decide which container contains more or less. How do we know? How could we check?

 

Challenge: Upload a photo of yourself holding a container that holds more than another ie: a bucket and a cup.

 

Wednesday:

Using the PowerPoint can chn help match the amount of milkshake for the monsters?

 

Challenge: Upload Wednesday’s worksheet to seesaw matching the correct milkshake for the monsters.

Thursday:

Using the PowerPoint can chn help colour the correct amount of milkshake in the glasses for the monsters?

 

Challenge: Upload Thursday’s worksheet to seesaw colouring the correct amount of milkshake for the monsters.

Friday:

Using PowerPoint can chn help to sort the images into the correct column on the table? Challenge – Miss Gray needs a bath but her tap has broken! How could we fill the bath? I have a bucket, a spoon and pipette. Which would be quickest> Why?

 

Challenge: Upload Friday’s worksheet to seesaw matching the correct pictures to the right column.
