In English this week, we will be revisiting our learning on Haiku poems. We will then be composing our own poems and performing them to the class.
In Maths, we will be covering a unit on volume. We will start by learning what volume is, before moving on to comparing volume. We will then learn how to compare volume and capacity before finishing the week completing problem solving and reasoning questions linked to this unit.
In Reading, we will be developing our fluency and performance skills in poetry even more, by focusing on the poem, ‘The pobble who has no toes’ by Edward Lear.
Wider Curriculum – this week we have review week. This means we will be focusing our wider curriculum lessons on a subject we have already covered in Summer term 2; Science, computing and French.
Please continue to practise your spellings and times tables at home too.
We hope you have a great summer and come back to school ready to smash year 6!
The Year 5 team.
