In English this week, we will be writing our narratives based on the Anglo-Saxon battle of Edington.
In Maths, we will start the week completing our geometry unit learning about reflection with coordinates. We will then start our unit on converting units commencing with kilometres, moving onto kilograms before finishing the week learning about millimetres and millilitres. Our final lesson of the week will focus on problem solving and reasoning questions based on the above objectives.
In Reading, we will be continuing to develop our inference skills using the text, The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams.
Wider Curriculum – this week is French. We start the week with shopping in France before learning about the French speaking world (with a focus on directions). We will then learn about using French verbs with the correct ending dependent on which pronoun is used. We will end the week writing descriptions about our family and their likes and dislikes.
We hope you have a great week.
The Year 5 team.
