Weekly times tables

w/c 29.6.20

The times table of the week is...

all of them!

As we are approaching the end of year 2, we need to consolidate out times table understanding. We should be able to recall the multiples of 2, 5 and 10 and some of us should even be able to recall the multiples of 3! The best way to practice is on Times Table Rockstars. Miss Kidd will set up a battle...

2K vs 2B!

The times table of the week is...

x2

Try and learn the song below to help you remember your 2 times table.

What facts do you already know about the multiples of 2?

What do they end in? What does this tell us about whether or not the numbers are odd or even?

Maybe you could come up with some of your own problems! For example - When you add two even numbers, your answer will always be even. True or false? How do you know?

w/c 8.6.20

The times table of the week is...

x5

Try and learn the song below to help you remember your 5 times table.

What do all multiples of 5 end in?

What does this tell us about whether or not the numbers are odd or even?

This week you will be reviewing and revising the multiples of 2, 5 and 10. Your daily maths learning will support this as well as the extra practice on the document below.

How many of you can recall the multiples of 2? Multiples of 5? Multiples of 10? What patterns do you recognise? Are there any ways of remembering what number comes next?

What patterns can you see?

Are all the numbers odd or even? Is there a range of odd/even?

There is a link to a video to help you remember your multiples of 3. Maybe you could think of your own way to remember?!

What do all multiples of 10 end in?

What does this tell us about whether or not the numbers are odd or even?
