Bentley High Street Primary School has been awarded Advocate School Status

Bentley High Street Primary has been appointed as a Nuffield Early Language Intervention Advocate School as a result of demonstrating good teaching and learning of the programme.

The Nuffield Early Language Intervention (NELI) is a 20-week programme for children in their first year of primary school who show weakness in their oral language skills and who are therefore at risk of experiencing difficulty with reading. The programme has been developed by a team of academic experts and underpinned by evidence demonstrating a positive impact on children.

Bentley High Street Primary would be happy to welcome teachers from local schools during open mornings when possible, to observe their lessons and to see first-hand the impact the Nuffield Early Language Intervention has had on results, and pupil engagement.
